What is MOBY P1, and who is it for?

MOBY P1 is a certified Class I medical device for mobile isolation and safe transport of immunocompromised or infectious patients. It is ideal for hospitals treating patients undergoing chemotherapy, transplants, or infectious diseases like COVID-19 or tuberculosis.

How does MOBY P1 protect patients and staff?

MOBY® P1 is a mobile isolation unit that meets all standards for positive and negative pressure rooms and is class 1 as a medical product certified according to MDR. It achieves clean room class ISO 2 in accordance DIN EN ISO 14644-1. The highest standard in hospitals is comparable to ISO 5 and is therefore significantly lower than the performance of MOBY® P1 – a crucial factor in infection control.

Can patients operate MOBY P1 independently?

Yes. MOBY P1 can be controlled by controlled both from the inside and the outside. Patients can control MOBY P1 using an internal joystick and touchscreen. Nursing staff and family members can steer MOBY P1 from the outside. A digital audio system also enables clear communication with nursing staff and family members. 

How does cleaning and maintenance of MOBY P1 work?

MOBY P1 is designed for efficient cleaning in 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the use case, using standard cleaning agents. Cleaning can be carried out, for example, by the hospital’s internal bed preparation team. We’d be happy to discuss detailed cleaning instructions and procedures with you in a personal meeting.
